Looks like it will be possible to finally navigate a mp3 playback device through bluetooth and iDrive. The Samsung phone looks like a good choice for 5 series owners, as it'll be a smartphone compatible with BMW's iDrive bluetooth interface for both handsfree calling and mp3 playback. With a 3GB hardisk, it should be able to store quite a bit of music.

There are rumors that BMW will be coming out with a bluetooth interface for iPODS to connect to iDrive via bluetooth sometime next year.

I think we need to wait till the phone is available. It's supposed to use the standard BMW bluetooth interface.
