Mis-firing on 318

Petrol filter changed ? The spurting could be not enough petrol going in the combustion chamber. If you have not change your petrol filter before, you might want to consider this option.

Another reason could be a dirty injector or clogged up. Get a bottle of STP Fuel Injector cleaner (black bottle) or better still the sliver bottle STP Total Fuel System cleaner and see if it helps to improves your problem.

Get the STP stuff at Homefix DIY. If you are at IMM...check Gaint's price first...sometime they are cheaper.

Black Bottle - I think its 8 or 9 bucks
Sliver Bottle - $23.90

Thanks for your advise.

I have not change my fuel filter yet but mechanics reckon it is not fuel filter

Do you think it can be crankshaft censor.

Thanks

Might not be your crankshaft sensor. If that was spoilt, your car will not even start.

I think you are right, it could not be crank sensor.

I am kind of puzzle and reluctant when the workshop told me to replace crank censor.

This problem only occur during hard accelaration (Flooring the pedal) and things is perfect under normal economy driving mode. I think spark plug still could be a candidate for causing this.

Cheers
