Metal particles in oil filter

Hi all,

Anyone has previous experience with metal particles found in oil filter?

Had my car towed in to workshop after car was vibrating violently and loud rattling noises coming from the right side of the car.

Workshop found there is metal particles in the oil filter but minor metal particles when they drain out the engine oil.

Engine oil level is good and sufficient.

Is it the worn out timing chain and rail that cause it?

Check the bearing shells ... and the vanos.

Bearing shells tends to be tricky if it's the problem. You have to create a matrix to calculate next steps.
