“Certain mistakes are simply not acceptable by any reason or standard”, wrote Chris who forwarded the attached picture to Temasek Review Emeritus (TRE). The picture was taken at Tampines Central Community Complex on 20th August 2011 around 13.30 hours which clearly shows 2 of the 4 Singapore flags hanging upside down. According to Chris, the flag was finally put up correctly “after a man came running to the general office to informed the staff inside; who instead of amending it IMMEDIATELY, got hold of the confused Chinese FT to inform him that the flag was upside down.” Infuriated by the incident, Chris wrote: ” I remember during mine army days, flags are treated with utmost respect. Something like these means some top brass will be dealt with severly even when it was not them who raise the flag.” “Singaporeans, [be it PAP or Opposition supporter] please do not even try to find any excuse for this mistake.” he added. Can TRE suggest that since it was a Chinese FT (PRC?) who hung the flag, he should be forgiven for an ‘honest mistake’ since he ought not to know how a Singapore flag look like.
Knn, staff at CC can be so lazy till ask Chinese FT to raise our flags... So funny... hahaha
