m3 rear view mirror

posting on behalf of my friend who just got his new ride(e46 318 sedan).thing is his car doesnt come with a rear view mirror. (dunno what happen). was wondering whether the m3 rear view mirror is compatible to the ride. if so any modification to be done? heard dat there r some auto dimming function with wiring which the 318 does not have. will he be able to install it? thanx in advance..

haha..dat i dunno. e car was bought without the rear mirror and side mirrors. think e previous owner modded the car and was rushing to sell it off before he can replace the original back on. dat gives my friend an excuse to start modding his car from here.keke

most of these guys dont use their side mirrors & rear view mirror anyway right??? that's why the car came wihout if it was owned by one... anything behind & beside, taxi drivers dont care and dont bother... just drift into the lane right???
