Road use (1K+) : Sachs Sport Suspension, Bilstein Sport + Eibach Spring

Track use (Coilover 2K+++) : Bilstein PSS, PSS9, KW Var I, Var II, Var III

calvin, Just curious, sachs is coming out with their coilovers or its out already? How are they compared to the other "more established" coilover systems we use?

i may be trying for vogtland coilovers. dont know if any of u guys are using it. if u are, pls let me know how it rides. i reckon its quite good as i have done some readup on e46 forums and they say it rides as good as the bilstein pss9's. i dont know how true it is but i sure hope its good.

I heard, but is out already ?
As Bilstein and KW, ther r more proven for BMW in track. Especially KW Coilover

I wonder if M-Sport suspension kit is available for sale as parts at PML/Eng Soon?

tategoi,

It is. But the amount of money that u spend on it, it is not as "worth it" as aftermarket suspension systems.

Cheers! :wavey:

yeah azriel is right, most of thiese m-technic kits complement BMW parts. like my schmidt rims on stock suspension, the suspension is giving way already. now i am getting an aftermarket one to complement it. the genreal rule is use BMW parts for BMW parts and high end parts for high end parts. not that bmw parts arent high end but they are just entry level IMHO.

The reason why I want to go for BMW sports suspension is because it only drops by 15mm. I have checked out KW v2, the drop is minimum 25mm, and the price is 3.6k. How much you reckon the M would be?

I have KW on my Bora previously, the ride is firm and comfy, I just love it. And I heard many horror experience from Sachs users, thus I am not that keen on Sachs. But perhaps Sachs are not well tuned for the VWs. Generally, which brands do BMW drivers go for?

I only want to change both the matching spring and shocks, I will not go for the lowering spring only. And I am not the kind that would gor for tracks.

Hi everyone,

I'm currently dealing with Breyton- BMW Tuner. Perhaps I can offer my helps here. Breyton do carry lowered spring for BMW makes. Feel free to drop me a msg here or can always email me at [email protected]

Thank you.

Regards,
:)

Bro, if u are willing to spend $3.6k, why not consider Bilstein PSS9? It is height adjustable and that wil overcome your concern on the "drop" part and there is comfort setting to play around with as well.

Hi guys,

pardon my ignorance cos i m a true novice. I've heard u guys mentioned shocks, springs, coilovers..

wats coilovers ? and dont mind a brief tutorial for suspension ?
thanks alot
