acs spring is abt 900+, m-sport is abt 800+, both oem from pml. spring thats good & not expensive, not sure abt that. if you intention is for looks, can consider sachs. full set with shocks, non adjustable is abt 1k+. wrkshops like bvo, tropical success carry'em. if high end, you're looking at beinsteins' pss9, fully adjustable which cost 3+ to 4k. can look for wilman.

Re: lowering my E60

For safety reasons, I would advise against cutting your springs.

although u don't acknowledge to any of our replies (except Jeremy's aka totoseow reply), i gotta come in, for safety reasons, don't anyhow cut springs. breyton, m-tech set-up is such, you'll not see much of a drop but handling ok. fellow sharkies, i mean forumers bmworld & hymics can attest to this.

Are those breyton springs meant for E60? Were you told how much will be the drop for front and back before buying?

If the springs did not meet the drop promised, you shoud return the springs. Cutting the springs is not a good idea. It will further stess your stock shocks more and your ride will experience vibration... end of the day, u will have a massage chair.

yes..those are meant fopr the E60... it does drop.. but i didnt measure the drop... u cant really see the drop unless u compare 2 E60s side by side

Re: lowering my E60

Understood that your Breyton springs are for E60 but which E60 ? 520 , 525 or 530 or 545 ? Some dealer(s) may just sell you something that is not exactly for your ride and in the end, u won't get the drop you want, and worst, your ride cud potentially become harsher.

Re: lowering my E60

Yup , when it comes to lowering a car or ....

The springs have to match the front axle weight and rear axle weight

The springs are to be made specially for the specific car if though it is a E90 or E60

there is still 520 , 525,530 ..etc

As the increase in engine displacement , thus there would be a diifference in front axle weight . Thus it is best to always purchase a lowering spring according to the model / model / displacement

ie. a spring meant for the E90 330 may not be good for the 320

But there is always occasions , there the front axle weight of a car is the same for the 1.6 model , 2 L . Thus the suspension / springs can be used across the board

Always look for the TUV logo
