If the spring rate is not changed from stock then it should not bob. Having said that, shorter springs would probably mean an increase in spring rate to prevent bottoming out since suspension travel is now less. This would cause a mismatch with insufficient dampening to control the springs. Like titanic and a few others have said the best option is to change both the springs and dampers.

I read somewhere that BMW makes a "sports" spring for standard shox that lowers by 20-30mm. If so that might work quite well.

stock shocks will take a beating & wear out faster. yes, oem is the m-tec sports suspension. handling ok but when come to looks, cannot make it. forumer bmworld aka gay foo has it on his ride but can't stand the sight of it & change his springs to ACS with m-tec shocks, swee swee.

any bro tried just installing ACS springs.hows the ride comfort, how low and need to change shocks or not?

AC, after TripleM advice I tot I was sure leow... Now damn confused because Scuderia says Eibach not good with Stock Shocks.....

Actually, many E60s on Eibach with original shocks are running ok. Not one says its too harsh or what. But the original shocks will tend to wear out faster.

Try Eibach. I think it is the same springs.
