Lowering E46

Bro the spring that u mention how many inches lowered? As for the ride and handling? The most important thing is how much will it cost with installation? Very sorry ask so much me new bir...hehe :)

if you're not into high perf, only for looks and somewhat increased handling, lowering springs are usually about 30-45mm thereabouts lowered, at about $400-$500, with about $80-$120 installation.

Ur ride's height seem to be ok for me. How many finger are there at the gap? Is that the 30-45mm lowered u mention?

Bro urs what kind of spring? How much to install? Need to change the shocks?

actually mine is kw var 2, adjustable coilovers. what you're looking for is probably just a lowering spring i mentioned earlier.

ya lor lowering spring is want i need. if i change the spring do i need to change the shocks?

well, eibach for one states that their lowering springs are designed to be compatible to your stock shocks. but despite that, do expect some accelerated wear and tear on your shocks. your shocks lifespan may be reduced to say 65-80%.

So changing of shocks will be a safer option...alright thank alot man

btw, anyone knows the price of sachs coilover and kw coilovers? If you buy these, they install it, will there be other any hidden cost or other processes that are required? pls advise. thanks.

Bro not sure bout the sachs coilover price..Guess very few people put hv this on their cars.
As for KW, there are 3 types of Coilovers set up, Variant I, II and III
So the prices vary quite a bit but I suppose the basic price for E46 prob starts ard 2k.

Do bear in mind when you are after the KW suspension set up as certain rim types can't clear the front set-up, ie rubbing occurs. Else you will need to put some spacers which are the last resort solution I suppose.
To clear completely w/o rubbing, ur front rims offset must be no more than +38

Gd luck and pls do enquire within to save time n hassles...

Cheers

Thanks man! Variant 1 will be the basic and III be the latest I suppose?

Basically wat are you looking at?? Adjust height only or adjust both height & damping(Soft to Hard ride)??

Wat's your budget for coilovers?

KW V1 is the basic & V3 is the highest street model & most 'EX' too

Bilstein have PSS (only height adjustable) & PSS9 (Height with 9 stage damping adjustability)

Bilstein PSS coilovers are like KW V1s, only height adjustable.....but KW V1 have certain rims clearance problem.....only certain rims with certain offset can fit..

Bilstein PSS9 are like KW V2, both height & damping adjustable & they're more 'EX'...

Bilstein PSS is S$2185 inclusive of airfreight, insurance & 5% GST. All Bilstein PSS & PSS9 coilover kits comes with lifetime waranty!
