Bro. replace cooling coil need to remove the whole dashboard and the labour cost is expensive. You better replace new coil la.You can call Tomika to check.

Re: Looking for re-con parts, air-con cooling coil

Thanks for the advice bro. Have received a few quotes for different options, origin and compatible parts, prices differ quite huge, any further advise?

Re: Looking for re-con parts, air-con cooling coil

Was quoted $900 for cooling coil (Denso brand, compatible not origin BMW use), valves and dunno as since Dashboard needs to dismount, down time 2 days. ES quoted $280 for the Denso coil and origin no stock, origin price almost double and lead time 4 weeks.

MY counter part quoted SGD 750, down time 1 day, need to find out does it include all other misc.

it ranges from 800 - 1.5k, was what I gotten when I was sourcing for this repair just a month ago.

the thing is, how u gonna know if the original was used, even if they told u so?
(u want to dismantle entire dashboard just to prove a point meh? haha)

anyway, I used OEM coil. but I would not recommend my choice of WS, as my car came back dusty and the A pillars was soiled with finger stain marks.

Thanks for your advice. The air-con WS quoted to me also has the same finishing as yours because I used to go there for simple air-con rectification, but this time seems they are not keen to do this service, not sure why. Likely I shall go MY for the job.

Now everyday smell the gas till high and temp is getting warmer too.

Re: Looking for re-con parts, air-con cooling coil

last update.

Yesterday decided to drive in Woodland Industrial Park E3 since around that area, quote $880 with Denso coil. But like what was written, the receipt was printed another brand and then hand correction Denso on it.

Hope the above info can be a guide to anyone needs it.

Cheers!
