Looking for a Beemer

Hi,

I'm new here and I'm thinking of getting a beemer - though i'm still undecided between a 1,3 or a used 3 coupe.
I noticed in the forum, there's a lot of use of EXX - which i suppose are engine numbers? how do i know what's for which series? Dumb question to the regulars here huh ...:D

Hey buddy,

Welcome aboard.

Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Depending on your budget, driving demands, performance preferences; you will then be able to shortlist your choices.

If you trust me, list down the above, and see if I can present my 2 cents worth to you.

E90 is for 3 series, E60 is for 5 series, E63 is for 6 series.

E36, E46, E52, E56 represent older models. Of course there are more, still finding out myself

Remember, nothing is too clever or too dumb. Everybody starts somewhere. All of us were too dumb to know that 12 X 12 =144 when we were 2 yo:) :D :D :D

Btw, its Bimmer, not Beemer. I spelt wrongly once too.:lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Cheers
