Looking at 318i...any good reviews to share

Hi all,

I am a newbie in this forum and to BMW cars...so not very sure this 318i is e??. ..I am looking at the new 318i from PML. Can anyone share good reviews of this car?

it is E90.
BMW = Sheer Driving Pleasure

go do a test drive easier cause dif ppl will have dif review..........from interior, exterior, boot space to the power..........

agree with ac. test drive then you can make an informed decision.

i just got one and i am enjoying every moment of it. thru driving it and modding it...

I have actually tested drive the 323. compared to my current vehicle big huge difference. Anyway the reason I asked is becoz I wanted to find out more. Cant seem to find comments on E90 318i. I have already confirmed my purchase with PML. Now waitng for car..

Chersen, did you buy your car from PML? If yes, are you currently using stock rims or you changed?

what's your current ride? front wheel drive, rear wheel drive or 4WD? hatch-back, coupe/cabrio?

Sorry ac323 n chersen, what i meant was i test drive the 318i. Well i am not those tat can tell much but can feel the smoothness, the steadiness n comfort. My current ride is a rush. So cannot compare big difference.

Ya, I'm driving a 318. For 2 months n 4 days till now.
Alot of things to mod....hee! Look at bro chersen... He's driving a 318 too. Mod so many things liao.

Sent my car in to PML for bodywork repairs due to slight accident. Was given a courtesy car, 318 to drive. Very new, SJX plate, mileage only 3k km.

Drove it for 4 days.

- consumption 8.5 km / l
- found the engine rough and loud, especially >3.5k rpm
- nice handling
- 17" RFTs loud and bumpy
- engine shudder / vibrate at idling

Mileage @ 2500km - 8 weeks old, consumptn close to 10km/L..
Smooth acceleration, nice handling, no vibration while idling in fact sometimes i dun even know engine is on (maybe still new)
Yeap..above 3.5k rpm engine note is loud, stock 16" rim is fugly other than that it's much better than my previous ride C30 - dual clutch gearbox problematic & sluggish pickup (even though it states 9.7sec 0 - 100km).

upgrade to at least 18". trade in outside cos pml rims are ex. what's your budget?
