Re: LF: K&N Cold Air Intake For B.M.W M3

U can try and call Mcwell Ventures/Ubi - they are supposed to be the authorised K&N dealers here in S'pore, be prepared to wait a bit tho but i guess should be worth it for 18bhp ! :yummie:

Re: LF: K&N Cold Air Intake For B.M.W M3

Havent got any reply from my mate..

If u want a fast one, order online from the US and u can hv them shipped within a week.

I ordered my Typhoon 69 RAM Charger from www.vividracing.com

The 63 was supposed to make more power vs 69 but there were many stalling issues with the 63 ( as experienced by quite a few M3 owners in the US ). The 69, however, was brilliant on high end rev-ving and I never had any stalling issue wotsoever.

Re: LF: K&N Cold Air Intake For B.M.W M3

I think it's a kind of filter that's made specific for GruppeM application so if u need a replacment for instance, it's likely that you hv to go back to GruppeM to buy the filter rather than getting off the shelves from K&N product offerings

69 came out first then 63
Looks almost similar but different design.

Here is the link to my post last year on the 69

http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/intake-system/2866-typhoon-cai-m3-installed.html

You mean the CAI din affect the low-end of the car at all? I was really against it cos i tot the heat under the hood (esp in Spore) would render the Open pod useless.... guess i was wrong.... another thing to look at then....

ClubAce
A little bit but once u pass 3k rpm that thing just sucks air like no other biz...
Perfect for NS/ track but not for urban driving....
The most important thing is to get the heat shield properly done.
The 69 was poor in the design...63 improves it...
And now one of the best filter for the set up is using Streamline Engineering cone filter whereby the top panel of the cone filter can also suck air in....

It's highly recommended in the US M3 forum. Some people hv already replaced their cone 63 to that S.E type...
