hi all, just to check some opinion. anyone interested?
07-led_tail_light.jpg

am contemplating to import this (high risk cos of warranty etc.) or go for the E46 coupe style... i've not got their quote yet, actually. caught this off:
LED Tail Light - BMW E46 Sedan 1999~2004(CDW01) - Laster Tech Corporation Co., Ltd.

Re: LED Brake Lights

think some of the guys here...already has the LED lights installed on their vehicles.......

Re: LED Brake Lights

Most people prefer the Eagle eyes version (pre facelift look) as everything is LED, just like OEM E46 coupe/cabrio ones. The turn indicators on this verison are normal halogen bulbs, which lessen the LED effect.

They are readily avaiable at BVO.

Here are some threads I posted on them.

Re: LED Brake Lights

Hi! Ya, actualli i like the look of the one on your barneymobile.
Actuali i also like the current stock combi with the brakelight row on the highest point, and on normal night drive (brake not on) the rear red-lamps light up both at the tail gate side... sori, bro, but how does it look at night (without the brakes?) onli the brake cluster lights up?

Re: LED Brake Lights

does the eagle eyes version have the feature where it lights up depending on braking, as in sudden brake vs slow braking?

Re: LED Brake Lights

It's not that Eagle Eyes that does not have that function. It is the ECU/wiring of sedans that do not have it. Sedans are not fitted with the appropriate sensors to measure the forces needed to process that information.

I think only coupes and cabrios have that option (not too sure). But sedans definitely do not have that. Even if you own a coupe/cabrio, you will not have that function if you didn't tick the box when you bought your car.

The Eagle Eyes LED or any LED lights simply do what the ECU tells it to.

Re: LED Brake Lights

hi bro, tks for the pix of ur car! cool! just to clarify: fm the photo, the boot lid lights seem very much brighter than those on the cluster... is it reali so? or are the just ur turned-on ur rear fog lamps? think i'll get this cluster too... cos i like the leds on the entire cluster... now to find some time to go our abang's den...
p.s. were u a couple o weeks ago in bugis junction? think i saw ur ride...

Re: LED Brake Lights

The picture above is not my car. Yes, the issue of the trunk lights being brighter does exists. That's why I did a modification on the LED's. If you click on the 3rd link I posted above, you will see exactly what I did to rectify it. You can also see from the pictures in that thread that after the modification, the LED's with just the lights on match the brightness of the trunk lights.

Maybe it was me at Bugis. You see one slow ass Barney purple E46, that's me...

No they don't ... we got a buddy of ours to help us with the modification to the LED's,

Re: LED Brake Lights

Thanks for the props CBS.

Yes I can make your LED Tail Lights brighter to match the trunk lights. I prefer to do the mod before you have the lights installed on your car. Just buy the lights from BVO, pass them to me, I mod and then return to you for install.

PM me for details...
