they dont need mould. they will take your old leather stiching apart and use that to cut the new leather. standard procedure.

Hi,

Understand that you have done your seats at Jackspped before, how's your experience?

Is the leather quality, stiching as good as the original.. or better? R they professional?

I find that my original Montana leather hardening and getting shining. I definitely miss the brand new matt look and hence thinking of re-doing the front 2 seats.

I am also concern if they are trained to remove and fit back the seats.. don't want them to trial & error on my car.

Thanks v much.

I know that as near as 2 years ago, all E39's leather seats were loaclly fitted y Jackspeed. I am quite sure the E46 four doors were also done locally. Such being the case, you really shouldn't have to worry too much about quality.

yeah, so far my car seats r still ok after 2.5 yrs on my 02 E46 318i.

front seats are only held by 4 screws. very simple. back seats are held by clips. even simpler. i can dismantle the back seats in 15 seconds.

as for quality, simply look at any of the 2003 and older bmw 3 series and that's jackspeed quality.

btw i did mine at tomo leather. workmanship is acceptable, no flaws, even though i requested custom everything. i believe these are pretty standard items which they will have no QC problems about. dont need to worry so much.

only thing to consider is how much they quote you.

Hey RB!

How much did urs cost?

My right hand rest lookin a little worn..prob get it changed along with my driver's seat. Passenger side still ok i think.

Cabrio's back seats look fine. But the air con vents behind the rear head rests are a tad dirty..those i dunno how.

anyone got any tips for getting rid of black shoe scratches around the accelerator area and at the base of the driver's seat?

my pricing is a little different coz i supplied some of the material myself, all in about 800.

Hi..
The best way to get rid of the "kiwi" marks is to use GIF.

Yo alt reality! Thanx man!

Brings me back to NS days..hahahaha..and da cleaning off the floor. Slipped me mind.

Group buy sounds goooood....everyone wins.

there is a specialized interior car specialist grooming shop at AML. My ride interior was totally groomed by them and it looks and smells brand new after 1.5 years. They virtually stripped every thing in your interior and used thieir patent technology to wash & revive your leather seats and carpets. Cost around S$150 for entire day.

As for the footmarks near the accelerator pedals, I used clear masking tape and stick all over those areas, including door steps. Mine is cream interior so very prone to stains and marks. After the masking tape, no need to worry about leaving foot marks when I step into my ride.

masking tape??? wah... very unglam leh, but i guess it's a cost effective and simple solution.

my sis just drives bare footed to avoid scuff marks altogether.
