leather seats uncomfortable

Currently driving an E90 325 with standard leather seats. Maybe it's just me being oversized but the seats are fairly uncomfortable.

I really like the drive of a BMW but seats are a serious letdown compared to Lexus, Volvo and even some Mercs. Changing the whole seat wouldn't be economical (?). Is there any other way without spending a bomb to get a tight fit softer leather cover over the existing one?

Any bros done anything similar to improve the seats?

cheers

Re: leather seats uncomfortable

I agree, they are uncomfy. I guess if you are super worried about it, get a custom job done on your seat, re wrapped in soft leather and maybe a different foam shape underneath. Or, lose a few kg's!!

Re: leather seats uncomfortable

The sports seats in 335i are better. It may be available as an option (for indent). The seats in 5 series and 7 series are softer and more comfortable.

Re: leather seats uncomfortable

bmw stock seats r hard but thats ok. the thing about them is that they lack lumbar support and can hurt back after long drives. sports seats provide much better support and shld be the way to go.
