I heard from my very "up-to-date" SE, September 12th, right after 7th moon... Didn't know PML so "pun-tang"
He also said, since 3 series saloon launched in the Padang in 2005, reviews after that said the launch was a failure because no cars were seen subsequently. The fact it was launched on a global platform, no one appreciated that stocks of the 3 series saloon will start to arrive in 3-4mths later. However, journalist being journalist, pounced on a juicy topic to "pour cold water" on its launch failure.
If this was true, let the public beware, PML (maybe not them, BMW Asia) will never launch their product so quickly, like same time as Europe, because thet will wait for thier stocks to arrive before they launch. No more "failures" for them... Sigh

My lady boss ordered one and was told that should be able to collect the car on the 16 Sep... just after the launch... but have wait longer if she wants the grey colour... :juggle:

They invited me for the launch. Special preview from 7th Sept to 14th Sept.
Superb service. They send a 7 series to chauffeur you to the launch area, then ferry you in the X5 back. Its like they introducing the old flagship to pick you up and send you back in the new flagship model....
Quite high - class launch platform I heard... Some where quite secretive...
Customers who pre-booked the car, will collectively pick up their car on th 12th Sept onwards. They'll unveil their 'pre-booked' X5 and altogether pick it up and drive home that very day.... Wow! So special one...

They have soft launched it for people who want to buy. My buddy brought me just. Very cool. Was ferried in a 730Li to Robertson Blue (some warehouse area near Zouk) then out of the blue, you see this place, with some classy wordings "ICON" Inside, the X5 4.8is fitted with 20"inch rims, nice
I was told in the night events, a X5 will send you back instead of the flagship 730LiA. :laughlik:
