acscab2...

you could hit 200km/h in the e46 318i (8-valve unit)? must have taken a long time. and needs long stretch of uninterrupted road.... i floored and meter could not move past 196km/h. checked the technical specs and it is true.... it should not go beyond that speed. maybe you modded the car or something and forgot.

by the way, you from acs?

i did not say 4 potters cannot make it. am just commenting that maybe bimmer should stop making 4 potters that are not as powerful as alfas or saabs or lexus', mercedes', audis etc. the bimmer 4 potters are really getting lethargic. maybe bmw should supercharge their 4 potters like what they do nowadays by the rest of the premium marques....

arsenal. from what you call yourself. you seem to be an arsenal fc fan. and my deductive powers tell me you are a regular punter on pemier league footbal matches.

anyway, i am very sure my old car, e46 318i 1.9litre could not match the alfa 156 or the 147. needless to say on the other marques.

Ryan you should be shot.... Valvetronic engines start with N, not M.

the 318 1.9L i have managed to hit 225-230 with 4 people plus luggage, with no power mods. but the 0-220kmh timing is about 30 mins. hahah

racebred.... the e46 318i 1.9L can never hit past 200km/h.... tried and tried. along north south highway with myself and no luggage. fuel was v-power then and engine oil was the high end castrol. still about 196km/h.....
