Lamborghini is planning to unveil a new model at the Paris Motor Show — that much we get. But other than this image, which shows the rear diffuser and exhaust, all they’re saying is, “It’s not just a new Lamborghini, it’s a new world.” So it could be a Lamborghini Reventon-style special edition, or it could be an all-new Murcielago replacement. We won’t know what it is, or what kind of bull it’ll be named after (although our fingers are crossed for Ferdinand) until October 1.

Re: Lamborghini makes an anus

The lid on the mysterious Lamborghini teaser images has cracked open a bit wider today, and what we see inside is the Lamborghini Urus, a four-door, front-engined, super saloon to compete against the Porsche Panamera and the Aston Martin Rapide. The engine is unknown at this point, but sources say it lies behind the front wheels and turns an all-wheel-drive system. But for us, the big story is the name "Urus," a Latin word with Germanic origins used to describe a very large type of cattle prevalent in Europe until their extinction in 1627. So basically — it's German for "big cow." How fitting of a name is that for a big cow of a four-door car from the now-German-by-ownership Lamborghini? We'll be there live at the Paris Motor Show to see it revealed, assuming dirty leakers don't break the embargo ahead of time.

Re: Lamborghini makes a cow, "URUS"

sweet...watching out for it.

Re: Lamborghini makes a cow, "URUS", or "Large Cattle"

Uh, if it really means that, it's a disappointing choice of name....

Re: Lamborghini makes a cow, "URUS", or "Large Cattle"

is a contest to see who can make the ugliest 4 door sport car

Re: Lamborghini makes a cow, "URUS", or "Large Cattle"

Think I'll still choose the Quattroporte if I had the dough.... though I'll reserve final judgement till after I see the Panamera and this "Big Cow" thing.... But definitely Quattroporte over Rapide. Rapide looks too much like they chopped their coupe in half and added a mid-section. Prefer it if they set out to design a proper 4-door without having to incorporate too many design cues from their coupes.

Re: Lamborghini makes a cow, "URUS", or "Large Cattle"

just got confirmation...this is a concept

Re: Lamborghini decides to change name,no more "URUS"

This mystery Lamborghini model that is set to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show has been an interesting affair. It all started with the release of an initial teaser image showing the rear of the vehicle focusing on the huge twin exhausts, a second soon followed showing a small shot of the side profile of the model. Now a third teaser shot has been unearthed by a Lamborghini enthusiast forum showing a third shot of the model, this time it is of the rear tailight. You will notice the diagonal line going through the lights, this is where the boot lid joins to the rear body, a fact that confirms the engine must be housed at the front of the vehicle.

WCF insiders have already had the opportunity to see full press images of the concept, we can definitely confirm it is a four door coupe to compete with models such as the Aston Martin Rapide. However, our earlier reports that it will be called “Urus” have proven to be false, we are unable to tell you the full name yet, but we can assure you, there isn't long to wait before Lamborghini launch the first full press images.
