Labour cost for swaping out Bi-Xenon Headlights from E90 to E90, how much?

Hi All,
Does anyone bro here know how much is the labour cost to swap out a set of Bi-Xenon with Halogen headlights from E90 to E90.
1) What's the damage?
2) Whom you knew can do it other than PML?
3) Anything else I should take note?

Hope to heard some good hints and tips from the bro and sis here, especially those who had try this route before. Thanks in advance.

With current promotion 20% christmas promotion, Bi-Xenon with headlight washer installation cost is $5.2K after discount. Is still very expensive. Few months back, Mike (SWE) ever quoted $4K+/- with all error codes corrected but without headlight washer. Am considering is there any other cheaper option.

ya, the labour charges alone is 1.2K if fitted PML.

u need body kit more than xenon....actually...u need both. haaaa

Just trying my luck to look for cheaper ways to get it done. 4-5K just for a pair of lights indeed is tough maths i need to convince myself.

i reckon for that price, they should install FOC

the price quote is include parts+installation+system re-code+spray paint on the headlight washer unit.

so any bro sis out there tried swapping one before, appreciate you share or PM me if is a secret.

Wow, $5,200 not worth it. Too expensive! For sure I wouldn't go for it. For $5,200 you can fix M Aero kit ($3,000) + Gruppe M + M3 steering + Blackline taillights. Lots of things to see, but Xenon only can see when you turn on. You got more expensive taste Lyn. kekeke

I think should be more than that! My friend's Conti GT got hit at the rear fender and repair cost close to 80K.
Even when you book a Maserati besides standard colour, you have to pay extra 40k.Simply can't believe it!

If i were to do it.. i will go to Mike and get one without the washer... it is not necessary to have the washer in singapore. And the washer only work the first time you spray, and every 20th time... so you hardly see it in action.

Plus, you don't get ice around your headlight to diffuse the lights, so washer is really a waste of money... i wish i can trade it in for something else...

FYI: I'm not willing to spend 4-5K for pair of headlights. that why I started this thread. but I really like to had it on the car. with Bi-Xenon is useful for me as I drive around m'sia pretty often. almost every forth night I'll go back my hometown which I drive through 40-50KM of trunk road with little street lights. visibility is an advantage with Bi-Xenon. so I am looking for ways to get around paying premium to get it done at the lowest cost possible. I'm not interested in Philips Diamond (unless my bulb blow before i found the ways to Bi-Xenon) or HID conversion kit (cos it will still need to re-code with the new HID wattage and i know is possible if you can get PML to re-code it)

so by knowing how much it cost to transfer a set of Bi-Xenon from E90 to another Halogen E90, would be helpful to make this project a dream come true? because with the age of E90 cars coming to 3yrs by now, maybe I can find an export car with Bi-Xenon to do a swap. but i need to know the cost of the swapping from a E90 to another. then I can know how much I offer owners for the trade/exchange whatever you call it. Has any bro sis done this before? Really appreciate you share your experience with me by posting here or PM me.

PS: after retro-fitting Bi-Xenon +headlight washer, then can go LTA for inspection to get proper approval certification with a fee of $80.00. without headlight washer LTA will failed inspection. this is according to PML when I acquired about the retro-fitting quotes.

Have u tried asking Mike? Since I guess the labour would be much lower than PML. And LTA won't know when u go for inspection!

The inspector thought my angel eyes were stock Since I told him that E39 also have mah!

will have to ask him eventually. cos he is the only one so far I knew can install Bi-Xenon+re-code. and thanks for the LTA inspection tips. the headlight washer is least important. my wish is the Bi-Xenon headlights, washer will come in a plus if i could.

Yup, the inspector saw the BMW sticker on the headlights and passed it right away.

totally agreed. too bad I've got my car a month earlier, those e90 320i sold around june-till current had the option for factory fitted Bi-Xenon. :furious: :angry: :furious: :angry:

I have retrofitted xenons on my cabrio previously (see sticky thread) and had no issue with the inspection, even with 8000K bulbs. So I do not reckon LTA to be over anal about OEM fitment of washer. They will be perhaps be tinkered off with a blinding HID bulb or a lack of the cat down the mid.
