Just Out of Curiosity on SLS

Hi Bros,

Just saw the new Mercedes SLS in my office car park. Got me wondering on how do the driver and the passenger open their door in a normal parking lot when there are cars parked in both sides? (As you know, the new SLS's door opens upward like two wings.)

Wouldn't the car doors knock onto the neighbor car before the door is fully opened?

The door open upwards.. It doesn't exceed the car's width by a lot.. The roof is narrow mah..

can. open already then reverse park, off engine and get out. dont close door.

Thanks, bros, for your advices. If opportunity knocks, I sure will like to see the actual doors in action within Singapore car park and see how close is the lower part of the door being almost brush against the parked car next to it when it is opening or closing.

he actually owns the other 2 cars as well.
they will follow and always park at both sides after the owner parks and gets out of his car, in order to protect the SLS's doors from kena knocks and dings.

also, if on the road, he kena jio by other lambos or ferrarris, the 2 cars serve as obstacles to block, and if necessary, knock/damage the rivals.

How many SLS are there in Singapore now anyway? They must be quite rare? I kept seeing this same red SLS in Raffles Place. Last night it was parked illegally along zig-zag yellow line. You are right TS, perhaps this kind of car just cannot use normal parking lots.
