Jb4 Map 1 vs Map 2 vs Stock

Would like to know the difference between map 1 to map 2 .
I'm in map 1 but can't really feel the difference, mind sharing if any has did it .
Any P&P will do too

Map 0: JB4 disabled
Map 1: Peak boost 12.5psi, suggest for most racing applications.
Map 2: Peak boost 14.0psi, suggested for those using exhaust mods and 93 RM2 octane or higher fuels
Map 3: Progressive methanol mapping
Map 4: Stock performance, JB4 on
Map 5: Autotuning, enabled in 8.8 and later firmware
Map 6: User definable map. Suggested for troubleshooting by professionals only.
Map 7: Race gas map. Peak boost 18.5psi. Requires straight unleaded race gas.

stock boost wo jb4 is about 8.5-8.8psi

in order for map 2 to be fully up
u need additional mods like charge pipe , intake , exhausts , etc
else difficult for the turbo to boost up to 14.0psi.

best to use map5 to auto tune to max depends on ur hardware.
lut/wot in 3rd gear to 6-7krpm few times for map 5 to learn

Thanks Marcus but the gain from map 1 to map 2 is huge .
But only at the expense of extra 1.5 psi boost ?
Was told a guy did by changing DP & AI to go map 2 .

Was expecting more on feel but maybe the power is too linear to feel too much of a difference ?

I'm saying from stock to map 1 . So will map 1 to 2 be a big difference ?
Need advise from any if recommended to go map 2 .
Don't wanna go meth for time being .

TS, may i know what car you driving.
Perhaps diff engine gain diff % when switching from Map 0 -> Map 1 and from Map 1 -> Map 2

F80 - s55 engine
I think the power delivery is meant to be that linear to match last gen v8/na power delivery .
Just wanna know if any has did map 2 or above for feedbacks .

Then you gotta ask fellow F80 owners wih JB4.

Your S55 is highly strung when stock thus the gain when going from Map 0 -> Map 1 may not be so obvious as compared to N55 which is quite a different animal.
Your stock boost pressure should be different, thus marcusrichard explanation with boost pressure might not be applicable for your scenario.

At last after 2 months . I have went to Stage 2 and when I just started off .
I felt Stage 1 was better due to the lowend and pulling force seems greater (idk why).
After driving for days I can feel the power coming more on 4k rpm (can't be exact)
& higher gears . Gear 1 & 2 seems to be weaker .
Also can feel some tremble on back seats during WOT .
But the feel from Stage 1 to 2 difference is more noticeable despite +boost stated was 1.5psi
