Singapore, 29 September 2005. BMW Asia Pte Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Trans Eurokars Pte Ltd, the holding company of the Eurokars Group of Companies, as the new distributor of the MINI brand.
The new showroom, which has yet to be named, will open for business strategically on 1 January 2006 with a new car showroom concept at Leng Kee Road.
Announcing the appointment, the Managing Director of BMW Asia, Mr. Roland Krueger, said Trans Eurokars would build on the very good sales record achieved by the previous distributor, Performance Motors Limited. “We are very pleased to work with Trans Eurokars and look forward to exciting times together. At the same time, we would like to thank Performance Motors Limited for their past contribution to MINI in Singapore.” Expressing his appreciation to Performance Motors Limited for its role in building the MINI brand presence in Singapore, Mr. Krueger added that preparations were underway to ensure a seamless transition from the current distributor to Trans Eurokars. “Everything will be in place by the end of the year and MINI owners can be assured that they will be well looked after by the new dealer.”
With state of the art technology and architectural designs incorporated into the new site, the new dealership promises all MINI owners and enthusiasts an exciting car ownership experience.
Presently, Trans Eurokars is also the exclusive importer for Rolls Royce cars in Singapore, as well as the region. “We have a strong team who will spearhead the operations and will work very closely with our principals to ensure the brand sets new benchmarks in CRM and after-sales initiatives,” explains Mr. Karsono Kwee, Executive Chairman for the Eurokars Group of Companies.
With 20 years of experience in handling premium car brands, Mr. Kwee is confident that this new chapter to the existing partnership will be an enriching and rewarding experience for the customers as well as BMW Asia and the Eurokars Group.
Construction on the new MINI site has already commenced and is expected to be ready by end of the year. Planning is also underway for the launch of the showroom and details will be released in due course.
