So i drove around 40kms (24 miles) and my temperature gauge was still not in the middle…roughly how long does it take for it to reach the mid point for you guys?? The pic shows where the needle was at the end of the journey...

Mine is the same...drive fast on expressway for long distance and it goes up, maybe about 110c. Come out of expressway liao it will start to cool itself down to about slightly above the 95c mark. Then by the time I clear all the traffic lights, reach home and park my car, it will be around 95c.

Re: is this normal?

Some BMW drivers wish their cars are running that cool. 95C pretty good for SG environment.

Re: is this normal?

ppl install oil cooler to cool the engine, u ask why your engine not hot enuff lol
try sports mode n hard drive a short while, it will surely be hot.

Re: is this normal?

Don't worry. It's normal la. My F30 temp meter also show the same behaviour.

Re: is this normal?

I think its because in the f10…the gauge does not show coolant temperature…but rather the engine oil temperature
