Is this even worth 5000K?

I got this HID H7 bulb from online.
Finally fitted today and got a shock.
I used stock, then upgraded to 8500K Plasma White.. Very strong hint of blue.. So ordered a pair of 5800K Xenon White..

Here's the result:

Left of the pic is the 8500K Plasma White. Right is the 5800K. Looks amber/yellow to me. This pic is with the Daytime Running Light so it appears brighter.

Now compare the 5800K to the stock 4300K, turning on just with the ring light:

Left is now the stock. Not very big difference from the 5800K Xenon White. So, is this really a 5800k?

Re: Is this even worth 5000K?

4300K looks best for drivers. Cool colour temperature is distracting.

if your 5800K is from Philips, then the white has some hints of yellow.....

After-market 6000K (Taiwan made) looks better in my opinion.

Re: Is this even worth 5000K?

5800K will have visible yellow tint. 6000K will be whiter, I'm using 8000K, a bit of blue but brighter to me.

Re: Is this even worth 5000K?

sorry but i'm confused. is this angel eyes or HID replacement bulb we're talking about here?
looks like angel eyes from the pictures u've posted!

Re: Is this even worth 5000K?

Sorry, used the term loosely..
Not HID lar.
E60 2009 model. Ring light uses H8 35W.
I bought H7 for a friend and H8 for myself. Both 5800K GP Thunder brand. Also got the Phillips 6000K HID D1S.
But 2007 E60 different, not using H8/H7 type to create the ring light.

So now who want to buy my H8 & H7? For sale, $20 a pair. H7 bought for friend's 1 series but color not white so dont want. Drop me sms 90495885

Thunder GP's color code misleading.. Don't trust the printing on any of the box.
