Instrument cluster warning lights

The ABS, ASC and brake warning lamp just came on for no reason on my FL e46. What could be the issue? Tried stopping, switch off the car let it rest for a while and start again it disappear for a moment but came on again.

Tried pressing the ASC button but doesn't do anything.

I think your battery is crapping out on you. Used to have the same thing. Turned out to be the battery.

Sometimes it takes a few restarts for it to go away, if problem persists then i guess got to send to workshop loh. The same thing happened to me recently

hmm... maybe but remember changing the battery 1-2 years ago. so fast spoilt?

Tried starting the car today and it was fine for awhile at least. Then those warning lights came on again.

The next day on cold start the lights didn't come on, until only after driving for a while, stop, shop, then start car again.

was it 1 or 2 years? If its 2, then you have done very well. Did you buy cheap cheap battery? Ever checked fluid level?

Suppose to be good battery and even paid more to get the one with more juice. So it could just be the battery and not the ABS module or something?

Hi there, it could be wheel speed sensor.
I had a similar experience on my last E46s,
For ASC, only two wheel speed sensor for the front wheels.
Get it check, should have the result out easily then we start guessing what could that be the fault. :yikess:

Actually the problem happened to my W211...the lights came on for a day (ABS and ESP) and then it just went away even though i did not do anything at all. Initially thought of sending to workshop but it hasn't come back since so i guess it's uncalled for. What lights came on for you? Engine/brake/oil related?

The workshop had a look and found that the ABS module was faulty and its a costly replacement.
