Info about a car dealer in Singapore and a car

ok i know that the company u mention work w (i mean sold car to them for export) the company that i PM u
but where the price they give u gd or not sure

ok i hv OT.... i will try to find out for u.... actually depend on which person u dealing to.... basically tt company should be reliable if not my friend will not be dealing w them already

Winnercafe, I am not talking about price.
I am talking with a guy named Simon Tan, from Shentat enterprises.

I am more worried if the cars are in bad condition / accident cars.

Paris,
There are so many dealers out there so unless someone here has a clue bout the dealer above, then you won't be reallly getting much info.

What is probably more important is the condition of the car you are after. The dealer will surely say all good things bout the car, so that is normal. What u need to do is to request for the car to be sent for inspection, such as VICOM or LTA. Be prepared to pay for this urself.
This is to ensure a peace of mind. If the dealer declines ur request, then walk away!

Also, check out the record of service history of the car..PML or outside shop bla bla bla..
Is it a PI car or PML car u also need to know.

As for the price, I can't advise you.

Gd luck dude

Everybody will share the same sort of anxiety when it comes to purchasing a used car.

Following my advise earlier, u may also wish to check out further in the newsapaper from private sellers or established car dealers like Hin Lung and TTS...
Don't limit ur choice to that car only..There is always something more special out there that you haven't explored.

Bro,

Why dun u juz send the car for inspection and also check PML records? Frankly, if this car is a 2.0 facelifted to a 2.2, I find it hard to believe that the owner did not facelift all the way to the clear lights type. So my personal inference is that the car got into an accident and the workshop basically juz bought secondhand lites from others who have facelifted to clear lites.

Anyway, why dun u consider a used 2.2 which is now very reasonably priced. The 2.0 might be abit underpowered. Good luck to your car-hunting.

he say he doesn't deal with this broker, the person he used to work w in Shentat enterprises had left it.

Very good views tripleM. I think that I will follow your guidances. This is very heplful. I didnt know that there is VICOM in Singapore. It might be a good idea to take any vehicle there, before I continue with the TT swift transfer of money.

T6, I will ask this Shentat guy if he is willing to take the car to VICOM for inspection. Just to see what happens.

I will let all you know

Cheers. :wavey:  :argue:

From what I can recall,
Some dealers are willing to absorb the vicom check fees if the car is found to have defects. If the car is in good condition however, and you are a genuine buyer, then the cost should be borne by you, if I'm not wrong (or perhaps the dealer will absorb it if you are persistent enough!). :)

alvin i think it's the same maybe if u want them to sent the vicom once or twice they may bear it but if everytime then they will calculate it into the price they qoute u...
