the older version of bmw should use the external coil
any idea which modal use one is the most powerful coil?
and where can i buy the coil

Sukoo....I believe you are refering to the M20 engines ??

After that...most of the BMW engines are using the build in coil from the M50 onwards.

If you are looking for external coils and more powerful ones, you might wanna check with Cartronic (ptc Kimiko) and see if she has ex stocks of Hanshin coils. These bugger generate around 40Kv as compared to the 18Kv that the Bosch is doing.
