It is no secret that Korean automaker Hyundai is slowly but steadily building up its model lineup
and if we may add, with impressive designs.
Offering a model in almost every vehicle segment except a pickup, in the United States at least,
sources close to the automaker have revealed the uprising Korean marque will offer a
BMW 3 Series rival - dubbed the RK - among other compact sports sedans around 2016.
The Hyundai HDC-14, last seen at the Detroit auto show, could also be the design inspirations
for the upcoming competitor to what is deemed as one of BMW's most important nameplates
in the German company's lineup.
With short front and rear overhangs, a powerful front fascia and a dynamic fastback roof line
that portrays motion even when stationary - we believe Hyundai is heading in the right direction
to take on the German automotive giant.
With little details on what powers the RK, an online source believes a turbocharged
2.0-litre four-cylinder in the Genesis Coupe or the 3.3-litre V6 in the Azera could make an
appearance under the hood.
Also in the plans are product refreshes or all new models starting from the Elantra facelift that was
teased a week ago right up to hybrid versions of the seventh generation Sonata that is set to arrive
in the first half of 2015, and a hydrogen-powered Tucson to help the automaker meet California's
zero-emissions directive.
Hyundai seems to be on a roll at the moment, and if everything sets well, we could see some
interesting products from the Korean automaker in the near future.

Internally codenamed RK, the rear-wheel driven compact sedan will share a design language
and driving characteristics similar to the already dynamic-looking Genesis Coupe (above),
albeit in a dimension larger than a 3 Series
and if we may add, with impressive designs.
