White and Black, the two extremes of the scale.... looks the best (IMHO) but also the hardest to keep clean. Spend alot of time and/or money and the car will be at its shiniest...... otherwise, sliver is best.... dirty, still look clean..... clean, still look clean.... small stone chips, not highly visible....
yah.. have to echo what the rest said about washing... white cars just show dirt easily and there's no way to prevent dirt from getting on your car except by not driving it.
It takes longer to clay a white car, and white cars are prone to show the effects of oxidation more easily (i.e. your white no longer looks as white as before, but off-white)...
the good thing is: white tend to hide swirls and water spots etchings more than other colours (tho titanium silver is king with regards to this).
All you can really do is to wash it often, and to use a quality sealant to delay the effects of oxidation.
If you want your white car to stand out from the rest, concentrate on the finner details especially your black trim. Increase the contrast by making sure all that is black in your car, is black and not faded... e.g. tires, wheel wells etc. Some peeps will even go to the extent of increasing contrast by increasing the amount of black on their cars by getting black rims/dark tints etc.
hope that helps and congrats/enjoy your new ride.
cheers.
Unlike waxes, sealants are polymers (synthetic particles linked together). When a sealant bonds to your vehicle’s white paint, it forms a rigid shell. Sealants sit on top of the paint like a transparent chain metal suit.
First u put sealant and then glass coat it for double protection. I did it when i bought my car 12 months ago and it looks like the original when it came out from PML. Of course u have wash the car every 2 -3 days with car shampoo. i can recommend u this place HOTWHEELS at 425 Race Course Road - Mike which looks after my car. He is really good and also a car lover. Cheers bro.
