How to switch on left side mirror tilt when reversing?

For the E60, try pushing the button which adjusts the side mirror to the right, if you want it to tilt while reversing, and to the left if you want it to not tilt while reversing.

Left = Lock the tilt

Thats how I remember it.

Hi guys,

suddenly, this morning my left mirror didnt tilt when i engaged reverse gear...

It has been working perfectly since Day 1.

Has anyone encountered this before?

Any advice?

check if the switch is pushed to the correct side. just push to both sides and try engage reverse gear and see if it works.
also check if your windows can wind down and up. test this after parking the car for a few hours. if you have folding mirrors, also try to see can fold/unfold or not. if windows up/down fail and folding also fail most probably your driver side switch pack has failed.

When i parked earlier, the folding mirrors worked, ie: it folded when doors were locked..will chekc for windows later.

Hope the tilting works when i see her after work..fingers crossed..!!!

forgot to mention that check the folding mirrors using the button on the switch pack, not via key fob locking/unlocking.

It should be that way.. If it does not work, please visit PML to get it programmed into the key.

If you have the keyless lock/unlock, tap and hold for 3 secs on it and the side mirror should fold up. This is available for F10 but not sure if its also available on E60.
