Hey,

need some advice.
just bought a nice huge cabinate for the kids room, but the finish(should be lacquer i think) on the wood panels is overpowering.
the kids now dun wanna to sleep in the room, and we've aired the cabinate in the room for 2 days and the smell is still overpowering.
how can we get rid of it?

thanks peeps!

Last time I bought a cheap baby's cot, and smell was still there after 2 weeks. It was the chemical or glue they used, I'm not sure. But I complained and exchange for another brand.

Don't ever try that, thinner will melt the lacquer creating uneven patches or wrinkle.

The lacquer is not completely, that's why you get the smell. It different from oven baked lacquer or paint where it 100% dry.

No choice, let it air openly or sun it, hope it helps.
