How to install rear boot lip spoiler?

Hi pple,

I have spray painted my lip spoiler and would like to stick it on.
But the lip spoiler only comes with a strip of 3M adhesive on the top part. Can anyone advise me if i need to put an additional strip on the bottom part of the spoiler? or I can juse stick using the strip given.

Usually no need. You will be surprise how sticky all these double sided tape are.

the tape isn't as great as its cooked up to be. I got uneven gaps on mine where the panel was straight. and where it was slightly curved....it came unstuck. Good luck

errr, arent you supposed to use the tape AND drill holes and use bolts?

does the spoiler have bolt holes, or threads?

Nope Phil, its just usually stuck on using tape. OEM tape is fine enough, provided the areas are prepped properly, otherwise the parts will not adhere properly.

Why did Astrosky think he needs two sides of the spoiler to be taped? What spoiler is that?

Sorry for causing the confusion. I have already installed the spoiler. It is just the stock boot lip spoiler for the E90.
