i off the engine and then press the start ignition without pressing the brake and then lift the level upwards till max and hold for 3 secs

the wiper keep wiping on my windscreen but will not stay still on the up position ..

so, am i supposed to start the ignition and then off it before lifting it? its not stated in the manual that i need to off it .. or i missed it .. :p

Re: How to ... get the wiper to be in the up position

you have to start and "stop" the ignition before lifting the lever...

Copy from OM:
Fold-out position of the wipers
Required when changing the wiper blades or
under frosty conditions, for example.
1. Switch the ignition on and off again.
2. Under frosty conditions, ensure that the
wiper blades are not frozen onto the windshield.
3. Press the wiper lever up beyond the point of
resistance and hold it for approx. 3 seconds,
until the wiper remains in a nearly vertical
position...

I regularly do this:

Take the car to the wash area and switch off the engine, press again to shutoff all auxiliaries. Push the lever up (cross the resistance level) and keep it for few seconds, the work is done.
