too much imho if just drop in n replace. probably 2 to 4 times overquote. steering control gone, but with Schosche interface (between 150~250sgd) you should be able to get the steering control back w the w502.

Had just helped a bro driving BMW 120i M Sports to install his ICE. This the the pix of his Alpine W520 2DIN HU. A new set of W520 HU bundle with the bluetooth module is retail at $1299 in the market. Price is quite standard. Spot his processor Bitone also...

Hi,
Im the bro that relag aka Andy is refering to. My take on the warranty is that it will be voided only on specific area like the integrated HU and the related sound system. Unless they can produce EVIDENCE that the aftermarket ICE is the source that causes the fault. In any case, PML has aftersales service below par of many ADs even so with warranty, with or without honestly, I dont think I wanna compromise my listening pleasure just for the sake of maintaining the warranty, but that just my 2 cents

Hey, congrats on the new HU! Love it! I'm an audiophille here, so am extremely picky when it comes to my music equipment. Is this HU good (of course, ceterus paribus - I'm assuming stock speakers set-up and the likes).
Btw, what else have you done besides changing the HU?

I'm running on a 3 way Audison Voce speakers and Focal Be 8" sub powered by 2 sets of focal fp 4.75 Amps with Audison Bit One processor. Hu wise I would say it has fulfilled my expectation or in fact exceeded what I was looking for.but I would say Setup of every components play a big part. As I did it together I can't comment on how alpine 520 will sound compared with oem Hu based on stock set up. Although one very important to note on is the after sales service which matters the most to me. I rather have someone who is passion driven to do my ice than someone who is profit driven Even with all this, you will need the magic touch of a maestro to do the tuning to bring out the best potential of your sound system.
