Re: How much is too much?
Wow, that's one of my "achieveable dream car". Alfa Romeo.
I know nuts about cars except driving from point A to B but I really like the curves on the Alfa Romeo car body. Unfortunately, its a car beyond my reach currently.
My dream car is a Lambourghini but I don't forsee myelf having the capacity to buy it this lifetime but hey the Alfa is something if I strive for it, I can buy it a few years down the road.
You guys are lucky, if true car enthusiasts are those that spend 15-20% of their income on their cars, then I think I am classified as a "true car thusiast too" because that's my rough expenditure on my trusty vios. I was thinking trying to save as much as I can and driving this car for at least 5 years and hopefully I can buy something I want for my next car.
Hi SMYUEN,
Sigh...I wish I was a guy to whom S$500,000 is peanuts
I absolutely agree with you (including your approach to "modding")... that's the same principle I apply to housing (and everything else) too!
And what I wanted to get a sense of is exactly that, ie. what you guys perceive as a comfortable/reasonable amount to spend (on your car) as a proportion of your annual income... which I think inherently adjusts for relativity of income levels to a certain degree...
Am currently driving an AR156 2.0TS...
