Hi Guys

Just sold my 335 ride to upgrade to a roomier X3 2.8...was sad to let the 335 go : (

Mine is a 2012 F25 2996cc X3. I read it has a N52 NA engine with no turbo. Not too used to to no pickup from the X3 and feels that when climbing the multi storey carparks, the engine goes into over rev when i hit the horizontal floor. Is there anything i can do to improve the pickup and also to prevent that over revving from happening? for now if it over rev i just have to take my foot off the accelerator and then step on it again.

Also, for engine oil, what shld i be using? 5w50 okie?

Hi, thinking of getting the current X3, the look for 2017 X3 seem like will not change much. Can you guy recommend which white should I go for Alpine white or Mineral White ?
 
Hi guys, I new here. Actually, I'd like to seek opinions of current X3 owners. I'm shopping for a new SUV, and the X3 is on my radar. PML is offering the X3 xLine 20i for 219k, and it seems pretty well kitted out.

I'm in no hurry, and I wondering if it's worth waiting for the generation X3, which I hear is out in 2017. Any thoughts?

The other cars i'm considering in this segment are the Land Rover Disco Sport, and the Jag F-Pace. Just thought I'd share.
 
Just collected my X3 today. Still trying to familarise.

Do the side mirrors turn downwards when reversing? (It did have this feature in E90).

The Navigation map is a hassle to program. Easier to use google map on my hp.
 
Dear Qoojay,

The left side mirror will turn downwards when reversing if you set it. It is the same with E90.

As for the Navegation Map, I always find it easier to use BMW Remote / Connected app on the phone, get the location and send it to car :shoot:

I have been a X3 owner for the past 2 years, have been a problem free encounter for the past 2 years. For owners out there, have you encounter an problem going into year 3 or longer?
