For e90 aux input is in arm rest compartment. Simply connect mini jack cable from phone to aux input. This method does not allow for any controls of iPhone via steering wheel control.

If u referring to those with BT option, then I can't be of help. Usually BT system would need to be paired first. To be paired the car stereo must be in discoverable mode.

Tried that... I switched the mode on the Tuner to "AUX" and tried to play some on iphone but nothing was projected... Just wondering if I had missed any things

aux means you play the song "manually" at iphone and then plug in the iphone headjack into the aux
you cannot control nor see the playlist in your stereo

if you want to do that you must play via bluetooth aka the phone is paired with the stereo
check your stereo menu is there a bluetooth function - then you can pair

otherwise, just play the song from iphone as per normal and buy those audio cable that both sides can plug into the iphone (output) and aux (input) and select aux in your stereo

Next thing to try,

Turn the volume slowly to MAX, if still no sound ...it's very likely the Aux Jack is faulty. I would think just some normal soldering of cable should get it back in order. You may also wanna try switching the mini jack cable with another one just to be sure it's not the cable fault.

When volume Turn to MAX, if u unplug n plug the Mini Jack cable in, you should hear some static or boom sound.
