Like Jack said, BMW recommends pumping higher tyre pressures to reduce rolling resistance and hence improve fuel economy.

Technically acceleration should improve but grip with suffer.

It's really a balancing act.

Is it advisable to 'over' pump the tires? After i got my car back from servicing, i found out my tire pressures were 240 front and 280 back compared to the recommended 200 and 240
