Was replacing the gasket due to leaking issue, waited a while for mech to remove the engine cover. To my surprise.....

Ya, I know it's messed up. Is there any simpler ways to clean up the engine beside overhaul?

Got the ride about a year back & did serviced regularly, in fact already serviced thrice till date.

Car left with 2 years nia, hope can avoid burning big hole in my pocket.

Any advise will be appreciated, thanks.

Around 120k plus now.

Don't think it's caused by myself, guess likely previous owner didn't service regularly..

Only way is to overhaul. But since you already drove in this state for a year already and theres only 2yr left on the ride, you gotta decide after consultation with ur wallet. Alternative, sell it off fast!

Yah, overhaul or else u can just jet spray the engine n see If it works....haha

Between 2004-2007, pml package FREE SVC for all their cars but that was at an interval of 25k km.
In the few years many bmw end up "open engine" in pml
This is how the sludge comes by.

My 2007 E60 was serviced every 10k km and when open up engine for top overhaul at 170k km the internal was only coffee brown with practically no sludge.

probably not cos ur engine will overheat in time to come, then you die

then better pray hard....xmas, new years, cny 2014...your car dun have to open bonnet, park by road...everyone alight and then curse and swear....'why the car breakdown??'

Choose a LL01 oil also .... sulfur content in petrol here not good for EO.
