Hope to get a BMW

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum. Hope to get some advice from you guys.

I dun drive a BMW by hope to get from the used market as new car are too expensive to consider.

Now I am considering a 320i yr 2006 with mileage at 175k km.
Is the risk too high for such high mileage?

I have not test drive car yet but condition look pretty good.

Seriously I have to do much search in the forum therefore can anyone share the common problem for the 3 series?

yes, mileage is on the high side.............try to look for a lower mileage ride......

Condition always looks good when up for sell.
I will clean-up my car to tip-top condition whenever i sell my previous rides...

My best bet would be to get a preowned with abt 1 more yr of warranty with PML. No doubt your monthly premium will be higher than what you have singled out, but wen it comes to a lemon, no amt of $$ 'saved' can compensate the additional time, effort, frustration you have to invest to make good ur 'new' ride.....And to make good...means having to spend more $$.....so, ru really 'saving' in this scenario?

Having said that, there are ofcse good deals out there......happi shopping

Hi Ed,

Below is my 2 cents worth for your consideration

1. 175k km is very high for a 5 yr luxury small sedan.....I guess you will have a lot to do when you get your ride

2. Pretty means nothing for a pre-own luxury car.....cosmetic surgery can be done on human...so imagine what can be done on a machine.....whats in the bonet is most impt

3. Never mention price.....but jux for your reference....a friend of mine jux bought an June 06' E90 320i.....52000km....S$70K

4. Consider the amt of money you need to spend on a possible major servicing as its 5 yrs

5. If the car is stock and you want to stand out, consider the cost to dress it up

Hope my $0.02 is useful in some way to you bro

I think Singapore's national average mileage is ard 25k/year?

And I agree with Het above, a BMW with warranty even though a few months left gives u the peace of mind, coz repairs dnt come cheap after warranty period

Congrats Bro on getting the "Ultimate driving Machine"...
I am sure you'll enjoy it...
After owning several different conti car makes (Merc, Volvo, Ford, VW...), Nothing connects the driver like a BMW...
