Target: Ferrari F430 / Porsche GT3

Just from the figures it is evident that sardines aren't on the target menu; only the really big fish interest NSX, names like Ferrari F430 and Porsche 911 GT3 come to mind. For this to happen the NSX will employ the power of a 5.5-litre V10 whose cylinders will fire up an entire 560bhp/ 417kW through a sequential gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddleshifters. Honda's Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) should ensure 0 - 100km/h times of under 4 seconds and a top speed approaching 200mph or 322kh/h. Pricing may begin from the £100,000 mark.

Highly doubt it....
It will be more exp than M3 but not crossing the 500K mark I think..

Dont forget, their arch rival perf is GTR too..Jem says one.

Re: Honda NSX See-Through Technical Illustration Leaked

why cant they put that engine behind? how to be iconic when u hv a V10 engine in front? better go target the SLR....

Mind you...that is performance target, price target never quite works when u compare Jap vs Conti cars in high performance league.

Base to base , GTR price is almost 1/3 of their intended arch rival 997 Turbo in Spore.

So nowhere on earth, this car will find many buyers in Spore if they are priced above 500k. Better off getting a 2yr old G :)

GBP 100k in UK is suicidal, blame it on JY strength too.

Re: Honda NSX See-Through Technical Illustration Leaked

Bottomline is the same - foodcourt pricing and positioning should remain so, not try to replicate a posh restaurant's menu.......

Re: Honda NSX See-Through Technical Illustration Leaked

I think if I am a multi millionaire, I wouldnt go for something like the upcoming NSX. Even if I were to get one, it would most probably be my daily driver. A conti supercar like the Lambo or Ferrari or Bentley would be my choice of a flashy car. Maybe even a Pagani Zonda ya......Performance is important but Pedigree is as well....the NSX just doesnt have the pedigree of being high class...
Honda is better off making Vtec Screaming Engines like the Type R and S2000, these are really great cars!

Re: Honda NSX See-Through Technical Illustration Leaked

NSX has been CANNED

In a shattering volte-face, Honda has cancelled the NSX replacement. It was due to be unveiled within weeks. Japanese companies normally set huge store by consistent long-term planning. And it pulled the plug on F1 a couple of weeks ago. It all shows how desperate the economic climate is for everyone. Do not, by the way, imagine these decisions are the doing of passionless men in grey suits who don’t understand the value of halo cars.

Honda’s CEO Takeo Fukui would have been right behind a V10 supercar. A lifelong engineer, he has designed Formula One engines. He ran Honda bike R&D, then all Honda R&D. Back in the day, he was a bit of a hand in a race-car, and has driven modern F1 cars around a track none too shabbily. Name another executive who can do that.

He’s just announced other changes, too. A new small diesel engine, which is good news for us in Europe. Hybrids in bigger cars.
A new factory Honda factory in Japan, already built, won’t go into production, he says. (Similarly, Toyota is just finishing a plant to make the Prius in America, but for the moment it’ll be locked and left silent.)

I can put only one positive spin on the Honda NSX and F1 stories. And that’s that the engineers won’t be sent home. But that they’ll be re-assigned to making sure other Hondas are better than they’d otherwise have been, and get here sooner. Especially the lovely little CR-Z hybrid sports coupe.

With that design, maybe it's a good thing it's been canned......

Re: Honda NSX cancelled

TripleM, is yr car registration 211? Saw a yellow GT3 along Hua Guan when I was walking the dog and it looked almost liked yours, but it was on stock rims, not on TE37s.
