I am looking for NGK spark Plugs ... but unfortunately has been always unlucky and unable to find a part number since i am not technical expert...

Checked with stockist but only carry Borsch ... PML / MA dun have those or not willing to share ...

Any seniors or fellow N55 expert can point a link or share 1-2 thing ?

Can PM me too ...

Many thanks and gong xi fa cai!!

Re: Hi Seniors for N55 - NGK Spark plugs

NGK made plugs based on N54 specs
if you check 1addicts and e90post, most replace using NGK 5992 but need to gap down
NGK (5992) ILZKBR7A-8G Laser Iridium Spark Plug, Pack of 1 : Amazon.com : Automotive

N54 vs N55 plugs are not interchangeable ... there is a difference
i would suggest stick with Borsch (made in germany) which is oem plugs for N55 ...

Stick with OEM bro ..... The gapping, dimensions and heat range of the OEM is the best .....look carefully at the part number when collecting from stockist.

Re: Hi Seniors for N55 - NGK Spark plugs

Why NGK over OEM in the first place ?

Re: Hi Seniors for N55 - NGK Spark plugs

NGK got colder heat range plugs (2-3 steps colder)
if one running on higher boost than oem (with mod & tuning), one perceive colder heat range spark plug = better performance

Oh, for tuned cars.

Re: Hi Seniors for N55 - NGK Spark plugs

Colder plugs needed usually needed when something causes the chamber temps to go up ... E.g increased compression ratio, boosting beyond safe limits set by tuners, very advanced timing, lean AFR - to avoid misfiring etc.

Quite extreme then needed .....

Anyway here's a chart to help TS intepret the heat ranges between manufacturers - need to also get a gaping tool.

e90/e60 n46 and n52 (both non turbo) oem plugs are either BOSCH or NGK (can choose) ... hence, using bmw box for packaging

NGK printing on product packed in BMW labelled box.
So its BMW or NGK ?
