Hi New member HERE!! Needs your opinion!

Hi Guys,

My name is Joel and Ive been a member here for a long time but never posted cos i was more active at the EVO forums but have since just sold my EVO. Was driving a 320i before my evo and am now thinking of either buying 2nd hand new 320i or Cooper/S. Thing is for my work not so appropriate i drive an evo now and even women ask me why i drive an ah beng car... so hurtful rite... anyways i wanna buy a BM but cant afford an M3 so i wan to hopefully modify a 320 or 325 to achieve better performance etc. What do you guys think.

Hi Joel. Welcome to the forum. Just post your questions and all the famous mod gurus here will gladly inject you with their mod virus to make your ride into a mean machine.

Well no matter what it is, ah beng or not, i can tell u guys from my own experience, driving the evo down orchard, with my exhaust, suspension, blow off and "forged" rims, all the attention i get is from boys too young to get their license, 'Ah Bengs's and last but not least, Mr Traffic police. But driving my friend's cars, i.e. Z4 or SLK with top down is a diff thing...they turn women's heads and envious guys call you show-off. Not that iam superficial or anything or realli like attention, but thats the low down of how diff cars appeal to diff target segment hahaha. Personally i rather something undestated if i could afford like an M5...something onli enthusiasts like us would recognise and appreciate..

Heh my "realistic" dream is to have a track EVO and a M5 enough said... hehe and maybe a Pimped Elysion if i got kids HAHAHHA

If you hav to chose between the mini and E90 320i, I would recommend the mini. In fact, given all the problems some of us experienced with the E90, I might even have gone for a EVO and become a "lau ah beng". E90 not doubt a good car but lots of bugs with the 1st generation. Wait a while if you can, if not go buy something else.

Hello and welcome..

Are you looking at the E46 or E90 3 series? I'd recommend a 2nd hand (as you are looking at) E46 320/325/330 and go do it up. IMHO, the 3 series is one of the best cars to mod and once done up, looks sick as hell.

Can't go wrong with the Cooper S either though. I know someone with one.. HAHAHA.
