I seem unable to post yet on the right section due to less than 10 posts but can anyone advise the following:
Noticed some smell and a short period whenever I drove and stopped at the end of the journey there is some smoke coming from the bonnet. Not black smoke but white like steam steady rising. Tot it's the weather cuz its cold now and engine tends to be hot.
Called my agent he said cuz during servicing the garage totally cleaned the engine and usually Spray it w some form of alcohol to make the parts shiny it's true the inside is totally shiny like new but any one has similar experiences? At least he offered to let me bring to garage to cfm it's nothing.
No warning signs from my in board display and no funny vibrations or noise from driving too.
U can see from a short video clip I took when it happened just now (tue night). I opened the bonnet, there is no big rush of smoke out nor can I see anything burning, its more like overall coming from everywhere, where the parts all seem to be coated in a layer of oil like coat.

haiz, is it normal to have a little engine oil out on the engine tray even after the valve cover gasket is replaced? 2 days after I took back from the garage, noticed there is still some steam, checked the bonnet, the tray seems to have fresh slight leakage of oil out.
Maybe will go back on Mon or call them to find out. Meanwhile gonna clean the tray myself and drive tmr Sun and see if there is indeed fresh leakage

Hi, only if it was a botched repair or the leak was from another part (eg. vacuum seal). My gasket also started leaking long time back and the f***ed up ws I went to did a useless job and it still leaked. Went back a few times to "re-repair" but to no avail.
In the end, I finally went to Doc Rod who resolved it in one quick visit. Power...
