This is Emrul, from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I just bought a 5 series last week, and its E60. Im too much excited about it just because it’s my very first bimmer. And another reason is its with a very rare (in our country) reg plate: 11-1000.
First of all i dont have any knowledge about this german machine and their fault codes. I used to drive jdm. My other vehicles are, toyota Soarer GZ20, and Mitsubishi Pajero V73.
So i need some help / tips for my e60. Like sometimes it got warning of transmission fault and others. But after restart the car all gone. Again it comes. And other some little issues. And another thing is i dont know its 525i or 523i or 520i. Engine CC is 2171cc.
Car shake when i start in the morning, after 4/5 min it becomes normal. And it runs smoothly but if i have to brake or slowdown suddenly, instantly it does not get acceleration, theres some lag of 3/4 sec.
I dont know what should i do or change. Recently I’ve changed the spark plugs, engine oil (fully synthetic 5w30), air filters.
And just another queries, is it possible to covert it to M5 with half cut of M5? In our country, we can’t import car more than 5 years old. So if i want a M5, i have to buy a car in another country, and parts out, and take all them to my country, assemble it on this e60. Is it bolt on conversion?
