Hi everyone,

I have been a fan of the BMW for a long time. I am currently considering getting a 320i as a 2nd car for personal use or getting a 520i to replace the family car. Appreciate any advise on which is the better option

Also, I am thinking toying with the idea of getting a 2nd hand BM instead of purchasing a new car. What should I look out for when looking for a good used BMW and any recommendations for a good mechanic to help assess the car?

welcome in........3 or 5 Series is up to you as the current 320i and 520i is using the same engine but of course the OMV is different..........

maybe you wanna do a search at sgcarmart to look see look see.....you may also check out PML Premium Selection at Sime Darby Showroom....

Probably if can get a 1, 2 or 3 years old ride is good.......also you may send to ST to do a full check to make sure it is accident free before you make your purchase.......

Hmm... I'll go to the showroom & check it out... the BMW showroom service at Bukit Timah is really good. They'll explain almost everything to you & also tell you the differences in the 2 cars. Should check it out..

Engine oil leaks. esp for the E90 320i.
Creaks. Aircon noises/temp.

Good mechs for assessment.
I'd lean towards R2D @ Bukit Batok, just cos he does a good, honest job.
But the other BMW workshops can do as well, like BVO.
