Hey folks, just got in here...

Greetings to y'all....

I'm looking at the 116i AT, for ease of parking (hey you wouldn't imagine how many lots I could get into that others couldn't, lol), lower TCO amidst rising oil prices/inflation and just basically something different). A RWD hatch is simply too hard to resist! :) enough of FWD and japanese cars for me after more than a decade's worth... I also want some of the UDE after having driven the 3/5-series and smitten by the overall handling and feel.

Appreciate any comments from the family regarding this ride and whether it makes more sense to get a new one or an imported 1-yr pre-owned low mileage version with full coe. Any nice options or what kinda inclusions (typical and atypical) that come standard are appreciated too!

cheers and have a good one!

Nice vid of E36 race, sure got me to sit up:

Re: Hey folks, just got in here...

oh another thing, please don't get a 1.6 auto. it's really underpowered. get at least a manual if you want the 1.6 or the 1.8 ones. coming from personal experience. haha

Thanks for the warm welcome all...

Drool-worthy the 135i, light and pretty nippy too from what I read. Does anyone at all here have any variant of the 1-series? Any introductions would be great else I may consider a standard sedan size which is a no-brainer. Just wanted something different for a change I guess..

*shaking in my panties*

But seriously, I'm as brudder as one can be... any further verification requires me to drop my pants already! I saw the 40+ pages as a result of a certain sista... omg, power to the *censored*

Hey phil, saw your 'ang moh' posts and it really cracked me up... keep it coming man. any further variation of my nick will probably get the cops banging down my door, scared la... or were you thinking of torpedos and other phallic symbols? :lol2: Was in brissy for a few years, hope to see you in person and also the rest of the gang.

yeap, i'd agree, at least got for a 118i or 120i..... (make it a manual)

MT.... think I'm really too lazy to drive MT, need to conserve wrist power for other.... erm.... things... :lol2: Imho traffic is really nasty and unfriendly for MT driving unless one drives more in the evenings/late night or weekends up north. That would really be nice and ideal, else it'll be from one light to another... argh. That said, I do love shifting the stick but ultimately the lazy b**tard in me prevails (pardon my french).

In any case, really hope to lose my ride soon as it's giving me sleep loss just having to drive it. Only the thought of unwillingly molesting/sardine'ing aunties and uncles on public transportation is keeping me in it. But I digress.... nice cosy place you have here!

So I heard and unless I'm mistaken, the curb weight of the 1-series is around the same as the 3-series. I'll just have to test drive a few and see if they're acceptable, thanks for the tip!
