HELP! why do my brakes squeal?

just changed my front pads to Axxis Ultimate Ceramic. maybe still bedding them in or already screwed the pads or rotors over...

i hear this 'eeeeeee' sound after some cruising time (ie no brake application for some time) on the highway. it goes away immediately when i tap the brakes (even just a little brakes). the sound will come back after a minute or 2.

it's not the squeal of a bus when i step on the brakes. it's when i am NOT using the brakes

Anyone can enlighten me?

Thanks

Re: HELP! why do my brakes squeal?

Maybe it's not been installed properly?

Sorry to OT...but where did you get the Axxis brake pads from? Axxis ult ceramics are aggressive...

Re: HELP! why do my brakes squeal?

The sound is due to calipers not releasing properly. Clean your caliper guide bushes, chamfer your leading edges of your brake pads and lightly grease the contact points between the pads and brake caliper carriers.

Cheers
