Help: Pooping sound from new 525 on 938FM

Need some advice.
Got my new 525 this week from PML. Whenever i play 938FM, i get a poping/booming sound when the DJ speaks...sounds like door closing suction.

Then i tried 950, not as bad as 938 but still there...

Then i tried CD and ipod - no sound. In fact, the music is V good for stock speakers.

(bass at mid, treble at max)

What can i do? Dont want to spend $$$ on system but wont mind changing speakers and adding tweeters if price is right (i have a small budget cos i spent on others like films, PPS, etc)

Any solutions? Recommendations?

does these happen when you are driving or stationary?..when i drive along ecp near fort road, the reception there for 93.8 not that good..like got a blind frequency spot..

besides base and trebble try adjusting other settings like the Gong feature available under the same menu as base and treble and see if the sound quality changes

Sorry about my ignorance... what is a gong feature....my 525 does not come with GPS so is the basic set up.

iam assuming that the 5 has it since my 3 series has it. its supposedly this auto adjusting thingy that increases the volume of ur stereo when the engine speed increases so that u need not increase and decrease the volume in conjuction to ur cars speed.

I hardly go to the settings very often, but there might be a few features related to the stereo u might wanna stress test to ensure that its not a genuine problem.

What bro Slater mentioned... I m sure you have. Go to the I-drive under entertainment.... Its there. But don't sound to me its got any thing to do with it leh.... Did you check with your SE. They are the best ppl to help you with your problem.... give them a call and sound dead serious

yeah just give them a ring to see if they can diagnose it over phone, else just make appt and drive it down. anyways ur car is under warranty. u dun need to spend a cent

Actually, after 1 week in the car, i noticed the sound only happens on RADIO. It mus be that the DJ speaking into the mic as a certain frequency and it resonnats the speakers to make the pooping/suckion sound. No problem on the Ipod, or CD. In fact it only happens mostly on 938live... i can live with it if i lower the volume...

No need to send to PML. Phew. Loving every minute of the car!!!

Are you refering to when listening to radio, it's like suddenly the music jam and resume in a split seconds?

no. Its like boom boom....i just found out tonight that it sounds worse with the window down...hahaha. give up.

Bro,

Give your SE a call and see what he says.... Also check and confirm that your bluetooth can consistently lets you call out from your i-drive option.

live with it if possible..525 with m-kit is damn good...
